Rimbunan Kaseh, a smart village sitting on 50 acres of land in Tanjung Besar, Daerah Lipis, Pahang, was officially launched on the 23rd March 2013 by the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib. The project is an effort to help improve the livelihood of the poor by promoting environmental sustainability with technology. It is a socioeconomic community project aimed toward making rural space sustainable.

Gracing the official launching ceremony was the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib and various dignitaries including Menteri Besar of Pahang, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob; Pahang State Secretary, Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail and Director-General of the Implementation Coordination Unit in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Syukri Mohd Salleh.

The 50-acre land in Lipis consists of four distinct areas; the housing area, fish farm, greenhouses, fruit trees and poultry farm. Additionally, the site will commence phase two of the project which is land expansion to increase productivity.

Najib said, “The government is implementing efforts to bring in an overall transformation into rural areas, which would not merely be about physical development, but something more comprehensive”.

The farm in Kuala Lipis combines IRIS Autopot Systems with Aquaculture and Orchard with animal husbandry to produce a variety of premium agriculture goods such as the Golden Melon, Butterhead Lettuce, Misai Kuching, Jade Perch fish and free-range chicken.

By providing the underprivileged with comfortable homes and sustainable jobs, IRIS has equipped the less fortunate with skills to improve their livelihoods and ensure self-reliance to improve their standard of living.
